Meghalaya Cong burns Gyanesh Kumar effigy, demands his removal and arrest

Shillong, Sep 25 (UNI) Congress workers in Meghalaya burnt an effigy of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar here on Friday, demanding his immediate arrest and removal amid an ongoing row over the functioning of the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Kumar's effigy was burnt at the parking lot near the Additional Secretariat, following a protest march from Congress Bhavan led by State Congress president and former union Minister, Vincent H Pala.
