Jharkhand: BJP files FIR over damage to Mukherjee statue

Ranchi, Sep 28 (UNI) The Jharkhand unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday filed an FIR against unidentified persons over alleged desecration and damage to the statue of Syama Prasad Mukherjee in Harmu. A BJP delegation led by former state president and former Rajya Sabha member Deepak Prakash approached Argora police station and sought strict legal action against those responsible. The incident involved blackening the statue and allegedly writing an objectionable remark on it, the party said.
