Cong protests, demands resignation of CEC

Patna, Sep 25 (UNI) The Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee today held a protest march demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. Leading the march, Bihar Congress president Rajesh Ram referred to Rahul Gandhi''s ''Voter Rights Yatra'', organised ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, and said that questions concerning the functioning of the Election Commission and electoral rolls had been raised during the campaign. Addressing the gathering, Ram alleged that objections raised during meetings of the Election Commission had been ignored and accused the Chief Election Commissioner of weakening the democratic system.
