Tripura HC mandates enhancement of CCTV coverage in police stations

Agartala, Sep 19 (UNI) The Tripura High Court has recently mandated the further enhancement of coverage of CCTV cameras in all police stations and outposts throughout the state. This decision, announced by a division bench led by Chief Justice M S Ramachandra Rao and Justice Biswajit Palit, was referred to the Supreme Court case Parambir Singh v. Baljit Singh, which addressed detainee safety in police custody.
