Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) Police have launched an investigation into the death of second-year IIT Bombay student Sahil Wakode, who was found dead in his hostel room on Friday evening, police sources said today. According to sources at Powai Police Station, the circumstances surrounding Wakode's death are being investigated from various angles, including events that may have preceded the incident. Meanwhile, Wakode's mother approached the police on Saturday afternoon and alleged that her son had been subjected to torture and harassment, which she claimed had severely affected him and eventually driven him to take the extreme step.
