UP: Radha Ashtami celebrations begin in Barsana with traditional fervour

Mathura, Sep 19 (UNI) On the Ashtami Tithi of the Shukla Paksha of the Bhadrapada month, a grand spectacle of faith and devotion was witnessed at the world-famous Radha Rani Temple in the pilgrimage town of Barsana. According to the ancient chronology and calendar tradition, lakhs of devotees from across the country arrived in Barsana to commemorate the appearance day of Radha Rani, the loving power of Lord Shri Krishna, born in the Anuradha Nakshatra.
