Cong challenges Nandigram BJP candidate's election affidavit in Calcutta HC

Kolkata, Sep 23 (UNI) The West Bengal Pradesh Congress drew the attention of the Calcutta High Court to the alleged discrepancies in the election affidavit of Nandigram BJP candidate Hasirani Rath, particularly over her year of birth and the year in which she passed the Madhyamik examination. Congress leader and lawyer Riju Ghosal raised the issue before Justice Krishna Rao on Wednesday, claiming that the details provided in Rath's affidavit were factually impossible.
