Calcutta HC dismisses protection plea of Birbhum stone trader Tulu Mondal

Suri, Sep 22 (UNI) The Calcutta High Court on Tuesday dismissed a protection plea filed by Birbhum-based stone syndicate mastermind Sheikh Nazimuddin alias Tulu Mondal, after learning that the accused had already left the country. A single-judge bench of Justice Saugata Bhattacharyya rejected the petition seeking cancellation of his arrest warrant and protection, paving the way for law enforcement agencies to pursue the absconding businessman against whom a non-bailable arrest warrant has been issued.
