Bengal plans 11 new government polytechnic colleges across nine districts

Asansol, Sep 29 (UNI) In a major push towards industrialisation and employment generation, the Suvendu Adhikari-led West Bengal government has initiated plans to set up 11 new government polytechnic colleges across the state. The administration is scouting for land to establish these institutes in sub-divisions that currently lack technical education facilities. The initiative comes amid the government's push to attract industrial investment and create employment. The state recently allotted land to 33 industrial projects, with the projects expected to bring investments of around Rs 60,000 crore and generate nearly 62,000 jobs.
