Bengal govt orders action against primary teachers taking unauthorised leave

Kolkata, Sep 22 (UNI) The West Bengal School Education Department has directed district authorities to take departmental and legal action against primary school teachers who remain absent without permission or take leave without following prescribed rules. The directive was issued through a notification from Bikash Bhavan on September 21, amid concerns that prolonged unauthorised absence by teachers was affecting the regular teaching-learning process in government primary schools.
