Three from Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh held in Odisha betting-app fraud case

Bhubaneswar, Sep 22 (UNI) Three persons from Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh have been arrested for their alleged involvement in an interstate online betting-app fraud racket operating from a rented house in Odisha's Ganjam district, police said. The arrested accused were identified as Satrughan Kumar Pandey (26) of Ramgarh, Jharkhand, and Dharamdas Manikpuri (30) and Jagdish Sethi alias Suraj (30), both of Bhilai, Chhattisgarh. Police said that those operating from the premises were promoting deceptive online betting applications and inducing people to deposit money by promising high returns.
