Four civilians killed near Indo-Myanmar border in Kamjong; Shutdown imposed

Imphal, Sep 25 (UNI) Four persons, including a father and son, were killed in an armed attack at Pilong village in Manipur's Kamjong district yesterday, triggering condemnation and a 24-hour shutdown call by the Tangkhul Naga Long (TNL). The deceased have been identified as Phami Jajo and his father Vareishim Jajo, both from Kangpat Khullen; Betterson Jajo, of Kangpat Khunou; and Ningthem Kashak, of Zingsui village. A fifth person, Akhan Kaping of Ukhrul, reportedly survived the attack and alerted authorities. Manipur police is yet to officially confirm the incident.
