Myanmar national held with 50,500 meth tablets in Mizoram

Aizawl, Sep 17 (UNI) A Myanmar national was arrested with 50,500 methamphetamine tablets weighing 5.5 kg in Mizoram's Champhai district after a joint operation by the state Excise and Narcotics department and Assam Rifles, an official said on Thursday. The seizure was made around 4.10 pm on Wednesday at a location between Zote and Bulfek villages near the Myanmar border, Excise and Narcotics department spokesperson Peter Zohmingthanga said. The arrested person was identified as Kamkimsiang, 20, a resident of Bukphir village in Myanmar's Chin State.
