CoMSO against Finance Ministry's Sunday bank order in Meghalaya

Shillong, Sep 24 (UNI) The Confederation of Meghalaya Social Organisations (CoMSO) has strongly opposed the decision of the Ministry of Finance to keep public sector banks and Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) open on Sunday, (September 27) in view of the proposed nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30. In a statement issued on Thursday, CoMSO General Secretary Balkarin Ch Marak urged the authorities to reconsider it, citing the religious and social significance of Sundays in Meghalaya.
