Jharkhand: Dumka silk farmer honoured at national level

Ranchi, Sep 20 (UNI) Silk farmer Shambhunath Dehri from Madhuban in Dumka district was honoured in the 'Private Grainier' category at the 77th foundation day celebrations of the Central Silk Board in Bengaluru, the Jharkhand government said today. The award was presented to Dehri by union Textiles Minister Giriraj Singh at a function held at the Gandhi Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Bengaluru. Dehri received the national-level award for his work as a private seed producer in the silk sector.
