Mizoram launches three-year plan to combat drug

Aizawl, Sep 28 (UNI) Mizoram launched a three-year action plan to combat drug trafficking and addiction on Monday, with the state's first "drug-free village" being declared in Khawzawl district as authorities stepped up efforts to tackle the growing problem. Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh (Retd) formally launched the State Action Plan to Combat Drug Menace 2026-2029 in Aizawl, while Home Minister K. Sapdanga declared Tlangmawi village the state's first drug-free village.
