Consultations will be held before deciding on UCC implementation: CM Conrad Sangma

Shillong, Sep 16 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma has asserted that any discussion on implementing a Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Meghalaya must take into account the state's distinct tribal and matrilineal traditions. He further stressed that no decision should be taken without first consulting citizens and stakeholders.
