Chengannur MLA Ramachandran Nair cremated

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 15 (UNI) Kerala CPI(M) Chengannur MLA K K Ramachandran Nair who had passed away after a prolonged illness at Chennai Apollo Hospital at 0400 hrs on Sunday, was cremated at his native place, Ala, on Monday evening.
The body, which was brought to State Capital from Chennai by a special flight on Sunday afternoon and was kept at the VJT Hall here this morning to pay last tributes by the public, party workers and the members of the House.
Later, the body was taken to Chengannur Assembly constituency and kept for a few minutes at the party office to offer last tributes by the public. After that, the body was brought to his house at Ala, where it has been cremated with full state honours.
