Casino policy under consideration of govt: Goa CM

Panaji, Mar 25 (UNI) Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday informed state assembly casino policy is under consideration of the government.
In a written reply in response to questions asked by Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat, he said the draft Rules stipulating the power and duties of Gaming Commissioner too was under consideration of the government.
Dr Sawant, who also holds Home Portfolio, said there was no prescribed entry fee for onshore and offshore casinos as per the GST Act currently prevailing with effect from July 1, 2018, implemented by the Commercial Tax Department in the State.
