CA duped of Rs 1.8 lakh in Thane

Thane, June 17 (UNI) A practicing Chartered Accountant was duped of Rs 1.8 lakh in this district of Maharashtra.
According to police, on June 2, CA Nilesh Deshpande, a resident of Vrindavan society in the city, received a message purported to be from one of his client Dileep Gosh, stating that it was his new number and requesting him to help his friend with Rs 1,86,000.
Nilesh, not knowing that he was being cheated by hacking his clients mobile, promptly helped the friend of his client and provided the money.
