Bharat Biotech Subsidiary, VeGen Bio Join Hands to Advance CAR-T Therapy for Multiple Myeloma

Hyderabad, Oct 21 (UNI) Nucelion Therapeutics, a wholly owned subsidiary of vaccine maker Bharat Biotech, on Wednesday announced a strategic collaboration with Hyderabad-based precision oncology company VeGen Bio to facilitate technology transfer, clinical manufacturing and commercial production of cell therapies, initially focusing on advancing a dual-target CAR-T therapy for multiple myeloma. Multiple myeloma is a blood cancer associated with significant unmet medical needs and treatment-access challenges in India. Under the agreement, Hyderabad- based Nucelion will undertake technology transfer and clinical- and commercial-stage manufacturing of VeGen Bio's lead candidate, VL-2511, which targets BCMA and CD19 antigens.
