Boat capsizes in Krishna river: Most of victims belonged to Ongole, Nellore

Vijayawada, Nov 12 (UNI) As many as 13 people met their watery grave when a private boat carrying 30 people of a walkers club in Ongole town in Prakasham district and eight-member group from Nellore capsized in Krishna river on Sunday evening.
Those who were rescued, told reporters that the boat was overcrowded. The maximum capacity of the boat was 20 but over 38 passengers were sailing when the mishap occurred.
The victims said all of a sudden the boat tilted to one side and capsized. Only 15 of them wore life-jackets.
