BJP leaders stage dharna demanding reconstruction of demolished temples

Vijayawada, Dec 16 (UNI) The BJP activists led by Andhra Pradesh Unit President Somu Veerraju staged a dharna on Vijayawada-Hyderabad highway at Shaneshwara temple here demanding the reconstruction of temples which were demolished to carry out development works before the Krishna Pushkarams.
Mr Veerraju, state BJP affairs in-charge Sunil Deodar and other leaders here on Wednesday resorted to a dharna by squatting on the road and raised slogans demanding the resignation of Endowment Minister V Srinivasa Rao for his 'indifference' in the reconstruction of demolished temples.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP state president alleged that the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy headed government had allocated Rs.24 crore for the construction of Churches and Mosques and questioned how the government spent people’s money to construct Churches and Mosques.
