Asthi Kalash of Vajpayee reaches Agartala

Agartala, Aug 23 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma along with all cabinet members and senior party leaders received the ashes of mortal remains (Asthi Kalash) of former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at airport.
BJP state general secretary Pratima Bhowmik brought the ashes from New Delhi after receiving those yesterday from All India General Secretary Ram Lal at BJP headquarters in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Saha.
Hundreds of BJP workers joined the bike and car rally with the Asthi Kalash up to Gandhi statue near Pushpabanta palace of the city. The urn of ashes was brought to party headquarters by the mourners in a procession and kept at an open space for people to pay their respect.
