Agrarian crisis in Marathwada takes 960 lives in 2017

Aurangabad, (Maharashtra), Dec 29 (UNI) The agrarian crisis in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra is so grave that at least 960 panic stricken farmers hailing from the eight districts of the backward region had to commit suicides in the past one year -- using different methods.
And, there seems to be no end to the suicides in the region, despite the state government having waived crop loans up to Rs 1.5-lakh for 89-lakh farmers.
