Advanced Landing Ground open for civil flights: Air Marshal Nambiar

Guwahati, Nov 19 (UNI) The Indian Air Force has fully operationalised seven Advanced Landing Grounds (ALGs) in Arunachal Pradesh, which it has opened for use by the civil flights, Air Marshal Ragunath Nambiar said today,
“All seven ALGs, except Vijaynagar has been operationalised and we welcome parties to operate civil flights which could give a boost to connectivity and tourism in the region”, Mr Nambiar said after briefing media about the upcoming President Ram Nath Kovind visit to the Eastern Air Command on November 29.
The ALG’s has been constructed in Vijaynagar ,Pasighat, Mechuka, ,Walong , Tuting , Ziro , Along , and Tawang ALG, in Arunachal Pradesh.

127 refugees from Bangladesh enter Mizoram

Aizawl, May 10 (UNI) At least 127 refugees from Bangladesh’s Chittagong Hill Tracts entered south Mizoram Lawngtlai district bordering Bangladesh on Friday and are taking shelter in six villages, Lawngtlai district administration officials said.
