Admin responsible for Nanded irrigation problems: Ashok Chavan

Nanded, Nov 18 (UNI) Former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan on Sunday attacked the BJP-run state government, saying that water meant to irrigate 15000 hectares of land in the district was deliberately diverted into another areas, while the administration was yet to break its silence over the issue.
Speaking during the Bhoomi Puja for various developmental works amounting to Rs 21 crore in Ardhapur tehsil of the district, Mr Chavan said, "Shiv Sena and BJP leaders take lead in igniting conflict between Nanded city and Nanded rural, which was not expected."
The MP from Nanded constituency also raised the issue of dilapidated transformers, owing to which farmers were unable to irrigate their lands.

Pune, May 6 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Gangetic West Bengal; at isolated places at a few places over Bihar; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe, Telangana, Rayalaseema; at a few places over east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Punjab, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad. These were markedly below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C); at isolated places over Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 45.1°C was reported at Saraikela (Jharkhand) over the country.
