5,894 vacancies in 48 Meghalaya government departments

Shillong, Mar 14 (UNI) Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma on Thursday said that there are 5,894 vacancies in 48 government departments of the state.
Out of the 5,894 vacancies, 1,894 vacant posts in the various departments have been intimated to the various recruiting agencies like the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC), District Selection Committees (DSC) and in certain cases to the Secretariat Administration Department (SAD).
Congress legislator from Umroi, George B Lyngdoh suggested the government would go for a special review so that the posts are filled as soon as possible.
