10 kg cannabis seized in Agartala

Agartala, Aug 16 (UNI) Agartala city police here today arrested a person from Chandrapur ISBT for allegedly smuggling cannabis and recovered about 10 kg dry cannabis leaves from his possession.
Police said the accused was identified as Jhantu Debnath, a resident of Bishramganj in Sepahijala district in West Tripura. The accused was travelling to Guwahati by bus and the cannabis consignment was concealed inside his luggage.
The seized cannabis was worth of rupees one lakh.
