States » NorthPosted at: Apr 8 2019 11:33PMConstitutional bodies being abused: DiggyBhopal, Apr 8 (UNI) Rajya Sabha Member and erstwhile Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh – who is trying his fortune as Congress candidate from Bhopal parliamentary constituency – alleged on Monday that institutions such as the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department are being misused and opposition parties’ dispensations defamed as part of a conspiracy. “Actions are based solely on the sentiments of political animosity and malevolence; even rights granted to states under the federal structure are encroached upon. Nelson’s eye is being turned to crores of rupees found in the vehicle of a Bharatiya Janata Party leader. On the other hand, raids are conducted to sully opposition parties’ image. Local law enforcement officers and the justice machinery were not taken into confidence in such action here.
