Yemen conflict displaced over 200,000 people since fighting resumed, says UN data

Aden, Oct 7 (UNI) More than 200,000 people have been displaced from their homes since fighting resumed in Yemen in early September, according to data released by the UN International Organization for Migration (IOM) on Wednesday. The IOM said the displacement crisis caused by renewed fighting between the Iran-backed Houthi group and Saudi-backed government forces had reached alarming levels, with the number of displaced people rising from 76,000 in mid-September to more than 200,000.
