Hegseth directs US defence agencies to counter foreign threats to 2026 elections

Washington, Sep 29 (UNI) US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth has directed the Department of War to mobilise its intelligence and cyber capabilities to counter foreign threats to the country's 2026 elections, with US Cyber Command and defence intelligence agencies tasked with identifying and disrupting potential interference.
