Women turnout higher in Tripura VC poll in ADC

Agartala, Sep 29 (UNI) The final polling data for the ADC Village Committee elections shows that 5,33,242 of the eligible 6,58,247 electorate participated, leading to a turnout of 81.01 per cent amid reports of violence and disruption attempts. The Presiding Officer Diary revealed a gender pattern: female voter turnout on Monday was 81.80 pc, while male turnout was 80.21pc. In total, 2,70,610 women voted against 2,62,632 men, with women outnumbering men by 7,978, according to State Election Commission Secretary Anurag Sen.
