Cornell University alleged sexual assault case reopened after two years as Jane Doe alleges gang rape

New York, Oct 2 (UNI) A sexual-assault case involving a former Cornell University student has returned to the spotlight after prosecutors reopened their investigation into allegations that seven men assaulted her at a fraternity house in October 2024. The woman, identified in court documents as Jane Doe, was 20 at the time. She filed a civil lawsuit against Cornell, the fraternity and the men on September 16, alleging that she was drugged, sexually assaulted and inadequately protected by the university.
