Nepal to import 1,154 megawatts electricity from India

Kathmandu, Sep 28 (UNI) Nepal is planning to import 1,154 MegaWatts of electricity from India to prevent load shedding during the upcoming winter, in the aftermath of significant disruptions to domestic power generation caused by the recent floods and landslides. The Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has decided on this step to balance the supply and demand and ensure uninterrupted power for consumers.
