Assam man electrocuted in Meghalaya after snapped live wire touches moving vehicle

Shillong, Sep 28 (UNI) An Assam resident was tragically electrocuted in Meghalaya on Monday evening after a snapped 11kV high-tension power line fell directly onto a moving Maruti Eeco passenger vehicle, police said. The incident occurred in the Pyrtakuna area near Umkiang village in the East Jaintia Hills district along NH-6 at around 6:30 pm, police said. Initial investigation revealed that the vehicle bearing Assam registration number AS01TC 6015 was proceeding towards Badarpur area in Assam from Lad Rymbai area.
