US-China reach consensus on lowering tariffs for $30bn worth 'non sensitive goods'

Washington/Beijing, Sep 26 (UNI) The US and China have reached a consensus on tariff relief covering $30 billion of "non-sensitive goods" in each direction, as part of an economic package agreed during US President Donald Trump's summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping, the White House said. The arrangement marks a further easing of trade tensions between the world's two largest economies found themselves engaged in an all-out tariff war which kept on intensifying in 2025.
