Rain likely to return to Maharashtra from Sept 20, Latur faces drinking water crisis

Pune, Sep 18 (UNI) Rainfall activity is expected to increase across Maharashtra and Goa between September 20 and 25 following changes in weather conditions over the Bay of Bengal, bringing relief to several parts of the state, particularly the drought-affected interior regions. According to the weather forecast, Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur and Pune districts are likely to receive moderate to heavy rainfall between September 19 and 22. Nashik may receive moderate rainfall on September 21, while parts of Ahilyanagar, Marathwada and Vidarbha are also expected to witness moderate showers.
