Tension grips Mumbai as police crackdown on CJP

In a related development, Mumbai Police have registered a case against protesters who staged a demonstration in the August Kranti Maidan and Nana Chowk areas of south Mumbai in support of the Campaign for Judicial Accountability and Reforms (CJP)'s protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, police said today. The First Information Report was registered at Gamdevi Police Station under Sections 223, 126(2), 189(2), 189(3) and 189(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
