NHRC seeks probe into alleged use of minors at Mumbai CJP protest

Mumbai, Oct 3 (UNI) India's National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has sought an investigation into allegations that minors are being deliberately placed at the centre of a protest organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in Mumbai, directing authorities to examine whether the children were used to deter police action. The Commission has issued notices to the Mumbai Police Commissioner, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), the grievance officer of social media platform X and the principal secretary of Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Department, seeking action taken reports within a week.
