Mahatma Phule's social reform message presented through theatre

Pune, Sep 22 ( UNI) The social reform movement and lifelong struggle of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule against caste-based inequality were portrayed through the Marathi play 'Satyashodhak Mahatma', staged as part of the Pune Festival at Balgandharva Rangmandir here on Tuesday. The play presents Phule's efforts for social equality, women's education and the rights of marginalised sections of society.
