CID investigation ordered after airport cable theft suspect dies in Navi Mumbai police custody

Mumbai, Oct 9 (UNI) The Maharashtra Home Department on Friday transferred the investigation into the death of a 38-year-old man in police custody in Navi Mumbai to the State Criminal Investigation Department following questions raised by his relatives over the circumstances of his death. The deceased, identified as Sanjay Kantu Yadav, was arrested on October 4 in connection with the alleged theft of electrical cables from the Navi Mumbai International Airport premises.
