Ganpati immersion procession dispute triggers clash in Thane, case registered against 70-80 people

Thane, Sep 21 (UNI) Tension prevailed for some time in Titwala in Maharashtra's Thane district during a Ganpati immersion procession after supporters of BJP corporator Upeksha Bhoir and Thackeray group leader Suresh Bhoir allegedly clashed over the order in which the processions were to proceed, police said on Monday. According to police, the incident occurred around midnight on September 19 near Regency Sarvam, Shree Krishna Hospital Road, MNS Chowk and Station Road areas in Titwala.
