Man held for cheating woman of Rs 90,000 in ATM walkie-talkie fraud

Palghar, Sep 24 (UNI) Boisar police in neghbouring Palghar district have arrested a 26-year-old man for allegedly cheating a woman of Rs 90,000 by using a walkie-talkie to trick her at an ATM, police said on Thursday. The accused, identified as Jitendra Ramdev Pal, was arrested on September 18 following a technical investigation and information received by the police. The incident took place on September 14 at an SBI ATM in Shivaji Nagar, Boisar, when the woman had gone there with her son-in-law to withdraw cash.
