BJP welcomes SC verdict upholding Danam Nagender's disqualification

Hyderabad, Sep 24 (UNI) BJP Telangana president N Ramchander Rao on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court's decision dismissing former Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender's plea against his disqualification, terming it a victory for constitutional principles and democracy. The Supreme Court upheld the Telangana High Court verdict disqualifying Nagender under the anti-defection law after he contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Secunderabad on a Congress ticket while continuing as a BRS MLA.
