Maha: MLA Abu Azmi demands withdrawal of proposed demolition of huts above 14 ft

Mumbai, Sep 26 (UNI) Samajwadi Party Maharashtra president and Mankhurd-Shivaji Nagar MLA, Abu Asim Azmi, today demanded that the proposed demolition of hutments above 14 feet in height in Mumbai from October 1 should be stopped. Addressing a press conference here, Azmi said thousands of families had been living in such hutments for several years and many had ration cards, Aadhaar cards, names in voter lists and electricity and water connections.
