Maha: Ground-truthing surveys approved in 18 more talukas

Nashik Oct 9 (UNI) The Maharashtra government has approved ground-truthing (field verification) surveys in 18 additional talukas across the state, beyond those covered under Trigger-1 criteria, to assess the actual field conditions of five major crops. The survey will cover 20% of the area under these crops in each of the selected talukas. The approval was granted by the state's Relief and Rehabilitation Department following directions from Revenue Minister and Chairman of the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Drought Mitigation, Chandrashekhar Bawankule.
