Nagpur, Sep 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday assured that the state government would extend every possible support to farmers facing hardship due to drought-like conditions triggered by an extended dry spell in several parts of Maharashtra. Speaking to reporters here, Fadnavis said the government has already directed all ministers to assess the agricultural situation in their respective districts. A preliminary review of crop losses is scheduled for next week, after which detailed panchnamas will be undertaken to facilitate the disbursal of immediate relief to affected farmers.
