India win bid to host 2032 UCI Road World Championships

New Delhi, Sep 24 (UNI) Pune will host the UCI Road World Championships in 2032, becoming the first Indian city to stage cycling's biggest global road-racing event, the union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) announced at its Congress in Montreal, Canada. The bid was jointly submitted by the Government of Maharashtra and the Cycling Federation of India (CFI), with support from the Government of India, and was built around a plan to establish Pune as an international cycling destination.
