Madras HC quashes case against ex-BJP Chief Annamalai for alleged provocative speech

Chennai, Sep 24 (UNI) The Madras High Court on Thursday quashed the private complaint and pending proceedings against former Tamil Nadu BJP President and "We the Leaders" movement founder K.Annamalai on the ground that they were legally sustainable and was not aimed at creating communal divide. Mr Justice G.K. Ilanthiraiyan, passed the orders on the plea filed by activist V. Piyush (Piyush Manush) seeking action against Annamalai for his remarks concerning Freedom Fighter Pasumpon Muthuramalinga Thevar and a historical event involving C.N. Annadurai.
